Ich bin gespannt, was Vuldacon dazu sagt.
That Flc will not open in Flicster at all. That Flc is in ERROR.
I need the Storyboard for that Unit and I will correct it.
IF you can generate a storyboard with CIV3FlcEdit, Please Zip and Upload it.
I only need the .pcx storyboard and the .pal Palette.
IF you cannot do this, Please obtain the Storyboard and .pal Palette from Wotan49 so I can correct the problem.
I use a 64 Bit System and Civ3FlcEdit will not work with it.
Here is the Corrected Death Flc.
I corrected the SW anomalies and just a little in the S direction because the Shadows have double shade "Ghosts" that would have to be remade to correct.
I corrected some of the CIV Specific colors that were in the Propellers but there are too many to correct all. many of these problems were probably in the Original Units.
I corrected the Palette and also Removed the Last Frame.
This animation only needed 15 Frames and had 16.
Civ3FlcEdit adds an Extra Frame to new storyboards... a Duplicate of the First Frame at the end.
This is one of many reasons I do not like any of the Other Flc Generating programs other than Flicster.
I am going to Guess that all Flcs for this unit will have an extra Frame at the end and that will cause a Hesitation in the animation Loop when they play.
I also changed the Flc Speed to 66 so it will play at a normal speed. It was 80 speed which was slow.
Using Flicster, there Has to be 2 pixels of blank space before the Right Frame or there will be streak anomalies.
Tell Wotan49 to remove the Duplicate End Frame of the Other animations and to make a new storyboard that uses one less frame for the Other animations. He can probably use a Faster Flc speed if they are all set at 80 for example. 15 Frames at 66 speed is a Good normal depending on the animation.
Let me know if he does not know how to remove the duplicate Frames and make new Flcs. Without explaining it all, he can open any Flc in Civ3FlcEdit that has the same size Frames and the Number of frames wanted, such as 15 for this one I am uploading, and generate a storyboard. He can then use the new .FXM file ONLY (Not the Storyboard.pcx.) He can then add the corrected storyboard.pcx file to it and name the .FXM the same name as the Storyboard he is working on. Then he can use Civ3FlcEdit to generate the new Flc using the New .FXM and his corrected Storyboard and it will be ok without adding the extra frame.
Civ3FlcEdit will Keep the same frame Number of a Flc that it Makes a Storyboard for but when making a New One, it will add an additional frame at the end....so Open an existing Flc that uses the same size frames and has the Same Number of frames as wanted. That is the .FXM file to use by renaming it with the same name as the adjusted Storyboard... Hope that makes sense. Difficult to write it.
To Remove the extra Frame he can enlarge the stotyboard 300 zoom and using a Rectangle Tool, Select the Exact Frame and all on the entire Storyboard except the end frames. Copy that and paste it as a new storyboard. That will be the Corrected Storyboard to use.
There are several ways but I am not sure what he has or knows.
-------------------
One more time thank you very, very much.
It can be, that these additional frames and the civcolours came from my attempt to open the file with Civ3FlcEdit. Please, don´t worry about the civ-colours. This is a special unit for the US to give them the powerful punch, they have in reality in era 3 and 4. So everybody, who uses this unit knows to which civ it belongs.
